This was a really emotional and compelling read. It makes you think about what it means to be a parent, and the choices you have to make for the best interests of a child, without being sure that it really is the best decision for them. I loved the characters - every major character has a chance to tell their point of view, creating a diverse and emotional read. [POTENTIAL SPOILER ALERT] The ending seemed a little abrupt to me, but I liked that it was 'realistic' in that it isn't necessarily happy. It meant that it wasn't predictable, which in itself was refreshing. I highly recommend it, including for young adults, though I should warn that there is some bad language included. Finally, the cover is beautiful.
