I found myself struggling with this a little bit. I found the 'The Beginning' and the prologue really interesting and they kept me wanting to read on, but I found the first few chapters just trailed off a little bit. I got a bit disconnected with the characters and found myself reading on simply hoping to get back to the intrigue created in the first few pages.
The characters seem interesting in their stance and motivations, but the personalities seemed a bit stereotypically normal. I guess I was simply looking for characters with something different about them.
Despite the disappointment of the seeming style shift, I like the idea of the two sisters and feel that the book progresses well, I was simply more gripped by the prologue than the actual bulk of the book.
