Looking at this book by the cover, it does not tell you a lot. What made me intrigued in this book to begin with was the actual name. It brought up so many questions in my head. Who was forgotten? Was the main character forgotten? Was her sister forgotten? Was it an auntie? Someone out of the picture?
The main characters builds an interesting picture if her past without telling the reader all about her actual past. As a reader you know where past is dark and the describes it through little memories that she has, using her senses...she remembers what she hears, and how she feels but does not rememeber what it actually was she is trying to remember. Is the forgotten sister in the past? Is she the forgotten sister?
