As the title says, this book was not for me. When I read the first look, I thought this would be really interesting but I found it incredibly hard to get into the book. I am not sure whether this was because of the mindset I was in or the writing. I expected to enjoy this and sadly I did not. This book really did not matter to me at all; I did not connect with the characters nor was the plot engaging. I found this book really slow and dull and frankly, unmemorable.
I think my rating mostly comes down to personal taste. This book just happened to be something that I didn't click with but I can definitely see how someone might like this book. The Forgotten Sister does talk about deep matters such as adoption and the care system and I thought that was quite well done.
