I am super sad to have missed out on the chance to grab a copy of this, so you can bet your ass that it's on my list of books to get and read. It sounds so good. Whilst I wasn't adopted, I went into Foster care and I can understand the need to want to find yourself, your familial history, what it is that is you vs. how you've been raised etc. This book looks like such a good, and heartwrenching read. I really hope it ends up being one of those reaffirming books when the MC finds herself but learns that it's not about where you come from but who are there for you when you need it... Or at least that kind of thing. The cover of this book is super simply, yet I think it's really pretty. The purple is a lovely shade.
