The Forgotten Sister is a book focusing on adoption and love. Cassie sets out to find answers surrounding her adoption and her real mother but ends up finding her sister.
The characters in this book are well written, with each person showing true feelings and insight surrounding the turmoil adoption could hold. Cassie as the main character does hold the book, but I somehow found her to be stagnant in places.
To be honest, I found this book to be a slow starter and towards the middle I actually put the book down and found myself not really bothered if I picked it up again or not. However, I forced myself to persevere and found that I was glad I did as the latter half of the book really picked up and I found to have enjoyed it.
However I was disappointed with the ending and actually felt like, "is that it?". The book carries a momentum and the ending I felt was rather flat and felt rushed. The way it has been left at the end though gives the author an opportunity to do a sequel to this book if she wished.
