This is a murder/mystery with an added dimension, which had me hooked from Page one. 10 years after the disappearance of a French girl, her body is discovered in the well of a farmhouse in France, and the last people to see her alive were a group of six newly graduated English friends, enjoying a post graduation holiday together at the farmhouse. The story explores the friendship and changing relationships within the group, as they come under investigation by the French police. Towards the end, events take a dangerous turn for Kate, the narrator, and her worst fears are realised. It’s a good read and I enjoyed it, although I thought the ending was slightly disappointing. Lexie Elliott is not an author familiar to me, but I would like to read more of her work.
