This isn't my normal type of book. I head for fantasy normally but every so often I forced myself out of my comfort zone.
And I'm glad I did.
From the get go this just grips you.
You want to know who all the characters are. What their relationships are like. And what happened that night in France.
The descriptions are almost poetic in places (which I adore) and the pace is perfect with the remembering and the look backs to the fateful night woven into the present day telling.
I really do need to know more.
I get a sense that this book is going to be full of twists and shocks and this excites me. Already I'm invested in Kate's journey through this dragging up of past traumas.
Will be buying a copy!
