There is a lot to like about this novel. Just from the blurb it is apparent that it has a great plot, a whodunnit with an enigmatic victim. Then there is the characterisation. Some to dislike but these feel like real people that I could relate to.

The main character is well developed, suffering from feelings of social insecurity And detachment issues. She has a business just beginning and something of an inferiority complex. The harking back to her Oxford education and glittering social circle seems to do little for her self esteem.

the most intriguing character Definitely is Severine. She’s beautiful and graceful, described as everyone’s dream girl; you either envy her or adore her.

It’s very interesting. Who should we trust and believe? Who could have killed Severine? Who’s got something to hide? We as readers are challenged.

Thoroughly enjoyable.
