A thrilling debut novel which keeps the suspense building right until the end.

10 years after the disappearance of a French girl, the 5 recently graduated Oxford students who were staying in the villa next door are under suspicion of murder when her body is discovered in the well of the villa where they stayed. Their relationships and actions at that time and now are all being examined.

Much of the book is about the pressure of working in corporate law in London and the long hours required to achieve partnership. This is something I am familiar with, thanks to my niece and her husband, but I'm not sure how interesting this would be to other readers. I feel the plot dragged a bit at times with numerous meetings between the various 5 graduates and/or the French detective.

Nevertheless, this was an enjoyable read well worth a 4 star rating and I will certainly look out for Lexie Elliott's future books.
