The two main reasons that I first picked up this book is because it reminded me of Catherine Cookson and because it takes place where I live and I have yet to find another author save Catherine Cookson who writes things that take place in Newcastle. The characters were so relatable and I found myself really enjoying this book, a lot more than I first thought that I would.
Although I did find that it didn't really seem to be well thought out and seemed like it was a little rushed.
Yet I did find myself wanting to carry on reading to find out what happened to our girl from the Tyne and I do have to say that it did surprise me a little and I found that I didn't really like the way I thought it would end but really likes the way that it did end.
