As I don't read ebooks I haven't been able to enter some of the recent draws so I'm delighted that this is physical book, especially as I loved "All the Missing Girls", an earlier novel from this author. From reading the first three chapters of "The Girl from Widow Hills" I'm already convinced that this story is going to be every bit as gripping and intriguing ... and maybe even more so!
I feel that I've started to get to know the characters who've been introduced in these early pages and now can hardly wait to get to know them better and to discover their histories and secrets as the storyline unfolds. I have a professional interest in the complex, long-lasting effects of PTSD and will be fascinted to discover how this aspect of the story-telling is handled by the author.
I found that the use of transcripts as a literary device has already created a sense of both mystery and tension, making me want to discover more ... so I'm keeping my fingers firmly-crossed in the hope that I'll be fortunate enough to win a copy of this book.
