I really like the central character's voice. So many questions already. This is tense and full of mystery. This is one of those novels where you daren't trust anyone. Perhaps not even the narrator.

There are two settings associated with the narrator. These are both a mix of the domestic small town life against a natural backdrop. You get a sense of everyone knowing everyone else's business.

The writer has used transcripts to feed into the backstory of the narrator and these are really effective.
Thoroughly recommend this as an absorbing read.
