I read this book as a buddy read which definitely made the experience more fun but I was a little disappointed with the execution of this book. The writing was beautiful and I was intrigued most of the way through but I found the book dragged in places and seemed to be missing important chunks of the story.
It was an interesting concept and the twist at the end was unexpected which was good but overall the story itself was pretty forgettable.
It is advertised as a suspense thriller but I just didn't get that suspenseful, on the edge of my seat feeling; yes it made me feel uneasy as I was reading it but there was nothing exactly thrilling about the story and I didn't connect with any of the characters.
I would probably read another one of this authors books as I did enjoy the writing style and it wasn't a horrible book, I was just perhaps expecting something else and when I didn't get that I was put off the book and it affected my enjoyment level.
