I'm not the biggest fan of thrillers but I'd heard good enough things about this one that when I saw it in The Works, I decided I wanted to pick it up. It took me a while to get to, but when I finally read it, it didn't take me long to get through.

This book was pretty interesting. The narrator didn't necessarily feel unreliable, so when the ending happened, it did feel like a bit of a surprise. But it wasn't one that I was necessarily pleased with. Like, I guess it did make sense, but it's something that makes me roll my eyes in this sort of book.

But it was still an intriguing read. I didn't want to put it down once I started it, and that's always great. The audiobook of this was okay, too, so that could be a good way to get through it fast.

I'm not sure that I'd want to read this again, but I am glad that I picked it up. It helped me realise that I do enjoy and have opinions on adult thrillers and mysteries outside of one specific author and that was fun.
