I have only recently discovered this author and I’m loving her work already. This extract has just gripped me with its style I just find it so interesting having these little interviews posted at the end of each chapter, feel these give a more rounded feel to what happened leading up to her disappearance and hindsight rears its ugly head. Neighbours wondering if they could of done more to prevent what happened but for whatever reason never spoke to her mother about her sleep walking.

The narrator went through such a traumatic event one many of us could not even begin to imagine, one event changed her life and it still haunts her despite thinking she had gotten past it. Her mothers final possessions has brought it all back to her causing her potential reappearance of sleep walking and night terrors. Her story of that night she went missing feels like there is more too it and am interested to learn more about her mother. Likewise whether she can truly
escape who she was despite the name change, it appears someone may know her past.
