I loved this novel, especially for its constant feeling of mystery and the likeable characters. It's engaging from the start, with an unexplained death scenario occuring early on. The protagonist's sleep walking and memory loss mean you are unsure who to trust - you don't know whether or not you can rely on her as the narrator.

I've read All the Missing Girls by the same author - a book I enjoyed - but I believe this novel develops Miranda's style further and shows an even darker edge, which really drew me in.

I enjoy how Miranda splices news reports from the past in between present tense chapters - this gives you something extra to mull over when trying to figure out the mystery. I found the characters to be interesting and sympathetic, even when I suspected them of foul play!

Overall a great read from a talented writer. I'm looking forward to seeing what she comes up with next.
