I have recently been to Warsaw to celebrate the end of my degree and learnt a lot about the war, the ghetto and the uprisings while I was there, thanks to my boyfriend's obsession with World War II history. I also became really interested and we visited both the uprising and the Jewish museum, as well as taking 3 guided tours. Therefore, this story is perfect for me to read right now, although the visit could also be clouding my judgement on the quality of the book. I feel it's well written, the jumps in time aren't confusing and it's left me really wanting to know what happened to all the children, the doctor and Misha. You can't really beat a book that leaves you wanting more!
