I knew from the blurb this would be an emotional read but more than likely not something I would be interested in reading. I tried the sample anyway and I think the writing style is good and grabs your attention from the first page but there wasn't enough interest level to make me want to continue reading.
I think anyone particularly interested in books focused around the events of World War 2 will enjoy this one.
I do really like the cover of the book and it would grab my attention in a physical book store.
