Even though this book is about the Holocaust and Auschwitz there is a persistent, deliberate sense of censorship. As it is in most books about the holocaust, there will be scenes in this book that are difficult to read but it is rightly so. We need to remember that even though this is a novel, these things happened and I thank the author for reminding us. Seems like a very powerful novel. I love historical fiction and memoirs, especially about the Holocaust and it would be a pleasure to read this. I'm rather sad I couldn't carry on reading this, it's ever so intriguing! I can't wait to get a copy; I will definitely be buying it. The characterization is beautiful here and it is written so elegantly in such vivid description.

I love the cover! It creates a sense of foreboding and really looks wonderful.
