When I first saw this book I was interested in it, but not sure if I would like the story told.

That being said, I did read it just took me longer than a book normally would, as I only read a couple of chapters at a time, as I was worried where the next one would lead.

It wasn't until the very last chapter and then the postscipt and author's notes that I realised this book is based on a true story of many jews living in Poland during WW2.

It was very sad in places, almost as heartwarming but also portrayed an almost unbeliveable love story too.

The Good Doctor of Warsaw is a story about the life of Doctor Korczak living his life in the Warsaw ghetto during WW2. His life's mission was to care for and look after children and he did that right until the end.
