This book delved deep into the depths of the events that occured in the Warsaw ghetto during the second world war. Such a harrowing tale of the persecution of the Jewish population. Dr Korczak is a professional who runs a children's home in the Jewish quarter of Warsaw. The underpining of the story helped give some understanding of the restrictions that were put in place in Poland.
This is another superb book which gives us an insight into the horrors that beset the Polish Jews when Hitler invaded Poland.
I enjoyed the different viewpoints in the story, from three different people. Two of these people survived the war, and goes on to tell about their experiences in the war torn country. This gives a lot of perspective throughout. This is not a light read, but an essential one.
