To be honest I do not normally read true stories but thought give this one a go, knowing it was true accounts of the time of the war, it was nice to hear from other people and their view of war life, as normally only hear about the Germans.
So humbling to read about young couple determined to help and care for the hundreds of orphaned children because of this catastrophe and the lengths that people will go to to ensure that others are cared for.
I enjoyed this abook and preferbly rather able to give it 3.5 stars , easy to read and understand the feelings of the people involved and the stark path some of the people were made to take just because of their religion.
I am glad that I got the chance to read this story as it is not one that I would have bought myself
