Any book with tarot cards on the cover will draw me in anyway but a tarot card nailed to a tree ? oh yes.
Firstly the main character Skye is so far a very accurate depiction of a teenage girl. Embarressed, cynical, sarcastic and self conscious. The best friend Drew is the best friend we all want defensive, protective and loving.
In 28 pages I am very connected to these girls.
Hard to tell where the plot is going next but some clues im presuming lie in where the note was tucked. Cannot wait to find out what she has got mixed up in. I am already rooting for her and hoping her friend doesn't get hurt.
The tone of the book so far is light hearted with this undercurrent of lies and mistakes waiting to be made.
Also I got a hint of LGBT in there. Yay.
