This book is a young adult thriller and the story line in theory is really great, a young girl Skye has a very eccentric mother who chants and speaks to the dead, Skye doesn’t believe any of this and used her knowledge to cheat her fellow school friends out of money by reading their tarot cards and basically telling them what to hear as she is trying to save money to move with her best friend as soon as she has finished school.
But the story develops when she gets involved in a plan to help kidnap a local judges daughter and help the police find her with her ‘physcic abilities’, however the young girl who was kidnapped turns up dead.
I did like this book I didn’t love it, there was a lot of teenage angst as it is a book written for young adults and it was also very dark at points but it is worth a read.
