Hanging on every word
An intriguing story with some interesting twists and developments, but an ultimately lacklustre and out-of-nowhere ending with little build up or pay off.
I found it somewhat difficult to sympathise with the main character as her motivations weren’t exactly honourable nor realistic; I found her selfish and stupid. Other characters also had very little in the way of character development or personality and were seemingly only present because a story with one character would have been even less interesting.
Overall an ok read, but not one I would rush to read again or recommend; the final chapters seem to exceptionally rushed and leave the reader with far more questions than answers. A shame, but not one of my favourites.
