I started this book with an open mind, realising that it's a young adult book, but I did find it hard to get into and I almost gave up on it until I was almost half way through the book then found it "sort of ok". The story follows a young college student in America called Candi and as she feels that the name stereotypes her she changes it to Skye. Both Skye and her mother are supposedly physic and are more making up readings than actually having physic powers. The daughter of a local politician Paige Bonnett disappears and Skye supposedly helps the police with physic readings where Paige could be. The story progresses and Skye is not really helping, with more of a teenage prank with her physic readings rather than actually being of help to the police and it ends with an unexpected twist to the story. It would appeal to young adult readers and I probably won't be reading a follow-up to the book.
