Hands down, The Heatwave, is definitely a book that fits right into my favourite genres, crime and thrillers! From a fast-paced and unnerving opening, you are automatically thrown into the deep end with the book gripping you instantly.
This definitely appears to be a very promising summer read and I am interested to find out what unfolds later on...
However, I am glad I decided to look past the cover for The Heatwave as it definitely doesn't fit the genre that this book falls in. I know it's good to stand out and be a little different to all the other covers on a shelf, but the cover for this didn't grip me at all. My only critique!
