The prologue is immediately engaging. Something terrible is occurring, and no one can stop it. Desperate to find out the fate of the girl, I read on and am left with more questions than answers. The terrible event is eerily similar to an something that happened years prior, and Flick has a strong suspicion that the events are related.
The chapters that mention the past events, put the reader on edge, there is something not quite right about lodger Tim. Is he involved in the kidnappings somehow?
I can't wait to find out more and see if my first suspicions are right. This definitely sounds like a book that will keep me on my toes!
