Usually I like when a book gets straight into the story and fills us in later, however the beginning of this felt a little too rushed and false. Felicity just happening to hear the news story and straight away deciding she needed to go felt like it came out of nowhere.
However, the book was intriguing and I do want to know more about what happened to Jasmine and whether the lodger, Tim, had anything to do with it. Is it the same man who has kidnapped the second girl?
I liked the development of Jasmine's character and agree that Tim does seem dodgy. I am interested to see how the book develops and why Felicity seems to be so invested in both of these cases.
