Firstly, I thought this was a well written story. I liked the protagonist and thought that the characters were well created.
The narrative structure flits between ‘then’ and ‘now’ which is ok but can get confusing if you’re not following. There’s a little identity switching too which can confuse but if you stick with it until the end it becomes quite clear.
I must admit I didn’t work this one out. I always try to which is silly but actually this one got me! It wasn’t who I expected or even realised.
Generally, it’s a good read, not too challenging. I’ve got one criticism really and that is the title. It’s a really tenuous link and there could be much better options surely? All in all, not a disappointing read! Not bad at all.
