I gave this three stars out of five, however it was very nearly two until the last 50 or so pages.
I absolutely love katerina diamond’s previous series and was hoping this would be as good but i didn’t think it was as fast paced and not as many twists. I struggled to keep my attention on it at the start and was constantly waiting for something to happen. Everything then did happen in the last 50 pages with the reveal which I did not expect and was quite good. I didn’t guess the reveal of the twist which was good, as it is always disappointing when you do.
It is definitely worth a read but I thought it was very different to the other books by this author, and not so much a thriller as a slow burn mystery.
