16 years ago, a girl called Hannah went missing, her body was never found. Felicity watches the news to discover another girl, Mandy, has gone missing in the same town under the same circumstances. She feels she has no choice, she has to return home to face the demons she left in the past.
The story switches between the present time and 16 years ago which I sometimes struggle with but to be honest, I really enjoyed it, it really added to how the characters developed.
This is a slow burner but the last few chapters it really picks up pace with so many twists you honestly won't see coming!
This would probably have been a 5 star read for me if I only liked Felicity. I actually took an instant dislike to her at the beginning of the story (maybe its the mum in me) but she just abandons her kids and husband to go play detective. I just felt through the story, it was all about her, how she felt and always felt she was worse off than everyone else (and maybe she was but I am not about self pity). I just couldn't relate to her.
