I love a twisty thriller! This book kept me guessing throughout and I couldn’t put it down. I did struggle with the narration style – it switched from rushed to fast-paced, but this added to the confusion and intrigue. I couldn’t tell who was friend or foe, and Felicity as a narrator seems to be unreliable, with you finding out snippets of her past alongside her as she remembers. The parallel mysteries of past and present occasionally overlap, and you find yourself trying to put the pieces together and then realising that you haven’t got the right pieces at all! I loved the insular community of her home town - the mistrust of outsiders and the secrets from those inside the community. Overall a strong thriller!
