I loved Katerina Diamond’s previous books with DS Imogen Grey and DS Adrian Miles so I had such high hopes for this stand alone book. It starts off great, like any good thriller the prologue is short and sweet and entices the reader in. The book is told from two different viewpoints of “Then” and “Now” and what started out as an interesting read, I felt, turned into a ludicrous plot. Whilst this is very easy to read with the short chapters and laid back writing style, the characters were mediocre and if this had been the first book I had read by the author, I would have been put off reading anything else by them. The last half of the book felt rushed and all over the place with no real direction. Although I had guessed the twist about Jasmine and Felicity, a positive I can say is that I did not see the ending coming… but sadly that’s not always a good thing
