The cover is attractive and the title tempting but they are just about the only positive things I have to say about this book.
It certainly isn’t a good piece of literature! The writing is formulaic, mediocre, full of cliches with shallow and unsympathetic characters. It didn’t hold my interest at all and I felt that I really couldn’t be bothered to read to the end.
I really felt as if this could have been written by a young teenager and that is probably the age group which might enjoy reading this book
I rarely give up on a book before the end as I am always hoping it will pick up but I must confess that I gave up on this at page 151. Life’s too short to waste time reading a book which I’m not enjoying. The blurb says it’s perfect for readers who loved The Holiday and The Girlfriend. I enjoyed both those books but I didn’t like this one -I felt the author was just ‘going through the motions’.
