This was an enjoyable and easy to read thriller, with plenty of twists and turns; the majority of which I saw coming, although I enjoyed the story nonetheless.
The book jumps back and forth through time between Then (16 years ago) and Now, following the story of Flick and her best friend, Jasmine.
Felicity (Flick) fled her hometown 16 years ago after an eventful summer which would change her life forever. She hasn't looked back, or addressed her past since. However, a girl goes missing from her hometown and after seeing the report on the news, Flick feels that there is something familiar about the girl's disappearance and is drawn back to her hometown where she is forced to address her demons as she tries to work out what has happened to the missing girl.
Jasmine has moved to a new house, where her parents have taken in a lodger who lives in the guest house in the garden. Jasmine thinks there is something off about Tim, but can't figure out what.
We follow Jasmine and Flick as they both try to figure things out in this easy to read thriller.
