When Felicity Musgrobe heard about the abduction of a young woman, Mandy Green, she feels an urge to leave her children and husband and their home in the Lakes to travel to the coastal town in Devon where Mandy has gone missing from.
Her family are bewildered but Felicity maintains the incident reminds her of something similar that happened in her past involving her friend Jasmine.

This is a real slow-burner which is told for two different time periods and a dual narrative: 3rd person point of view of Jasmine in the past and 1st person Felicity in the present - this is a very skilful and well executed technique used by the writer.

The pace, at times, can be a little slow but the last 20% were a complete rollercoaster with a shocking and exhilarating ending!
