Everyone seems to have something to hide, even Twelve-year-old Maude and I'm really intrigued to find out what that is!!
I don't normally enjoy a child’s perspective, especially teenagers. However, Maude’s is done well and despite the teenage angst I've warmed to her and feel a little sorry for her. She reminds me of myself as a teenager.
I love thrillers set by the coast. I find this setting quite apt when it's cold with the idea of the sea hitting against the rocks!! Very creepy. I'm hoping this plays a bigger role in setting the theme of the landscape.
The cover is quite arty and pretty for a thriller and it would definitely attract me to the book if I saw it in a shop.
