I loved the start of this book! I was instantly gripped and read at a furious pace, wanting to finding out just what was going to happen. While this is a trope commonly done, I felt as though the writing and detail and just something altogether about the atmosphere made me forget this. I'd say it's entirely it's own thing, in the best way possible. It's distinct in its execution in a beautifully atmospheric and gripping way! the characters also seem very interesting and definitely not two dimensional, something I'm excited to see how the book explores.
