This is a new author to me but I do like a gothic mystery. It is a difficult genre to get right but I would love to try this one out. I can just imagine why a 12 year old girl would not want to visit this cottage but it is interesting that she soon gets spellbound by the place and seems to be at loggerheads with her mother. Not too much mention of the father but I am sure he fits into the story too.
