I'm so interested in Maude! Her attitude seems to be a strong contrast to that of Nell. The writing immediately draws you into the family dynamic between them and Chris, but an underlying aspect of gothic tension seeps through the narrative with Nell's feeling of the house, and with the marks in Maude's room making me think something suspicious has definitely happened and I want to get to the bottom of it!
