I'm not entirely sure where this novel is going but I am all for the spooky ride I think is in store!
We meet Nell, Maude and Chris as they arrive at an unusual holiday let in Nell's old seaside town. The holiday is in attendance of a cousins' wedding anniversary, but seemingly also as a get away for Maude who must have done something troublesome lately while she rails against being a teenager from a broken home with a new half sibling.
The air in the place has an odd smell, there are bizarre markings in the attic, and the fuse box trips repeatedly... Is there something there?
