The first couple of pages is deliberately ambiguous - we are given a hint of things to come - a circular structure maybe at the end of the book which will tie things up. A women who is in a house and imposed upon by a man - she reaches for the fuse box to place herself in darkness... who knows what next... you will have to trawl through the book to find out.
