I'd be drawn to the The Hiding Place by it's enticing cover, the colours lure me in and there's lots going on that also pulls me in, the little pictures of objects leave me wanting to know more. From the opening chapters I got a dark, ghostly, gothic feeling. Certainly a book to consider picking up for 'Spooky season' as I like to call it.
