I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. My sincere thanks go to readers first, the publisher and the author.
I should point out that this Is definitely not a regular genre for me to read but I actually quite enjoyed it. Generally I don’t read or enjoy “spooky” or “paranormal” books so was a bit hesitant about whether I’d enjoy this one.
We spend time with a blended family of Father, daughter-Maude, and Step Morher,Nell. They’ve returned to Nell’s old home town for a family party. It seems none of them really want to be there, the house they’ve rented is cold and unwelcoming and it’s not too long before things start going bump in the night. There’s a string of unexplained events that occur in and around the house but things are never as they seem and it’s not long before things start to unravel. The ending wasn’t quite what I thought it could have been but enjoyable all the same.
