This is definitely pulling me in. The extract is full of intrigue and mystery and I'm already wanting to delve in and find out what happens. Like the idea of the characters stories intertwining in the plot and secret pasts emerging. They are going away as a family but what has happened already to Maude? Why is Nell worried about going to her childhood village? Who are the other characters? I think it would be a page turner and hard to put down. The title and cover are great and definitely one I would pick up in a bookshop to buy although I don't know this author. My only hopes are that the book doesn't disappoint at the end which can sometimes happen after suspense is built up at the start. Takes a clever ahthor to stop it falling flat at the end or guessable! I prefer something I can believe in rather than ghosts etc. Willing to give it a go to find out!
