We all have our own little habits, words or lucky charms that we use everyday or for certain times, to get us through those moments. And Elder House is full of them! Engraved swirls on the wooden beams, a child's shoe, a used tampon and pregnancy kit stuffed into the walls, words written on panels. It's all a bit odd, but the real question is why?
Nell, her husband Chris and step daughter Maude have taken a well deserved break to the seaside town that Nell grew up in. Unexpectantly Chris is called away on business and Nell is left to look after Maude. Maude has her own issues with Nell (predominantly she feels that Nell stole her dad away from her mum) and she absorbs herself in the weird markings that are all over her bedroom. Nell finds a crack in the panel in the main bedroom and discovers some odd objects have been stuffed behind the panel and seem to have been there a while. This coupled with her neighbours overbearingness starts to raise an alarm. What is the fascination with Elder House and what is everyone getting so worked up about? And who the hell keeps walking across the landing every night??
