I've never really given much thought as to the preparations it must take to do a solo climb, both mentally and physically so this novel has somewhat peaked my interest. The writing is really well done so it doesn't matter if you have no knowledge on the subject of climbing, it reads really nicely either way. The cover is very eye catching and shows just how isolated Alex will be. An interesting take on a non-fiction novel.
