I had already heard of the National Geographic award winning documentary Free Solo about the unaided ascent of Yosemite's El Capitan by 29 year old free climber, Alex Honnold. This book by fellow climber, Mark Synott, is fascinating and will allow me to learn about the climb in manageable chunks which I control instead of hiding behind a cushion watching it on a screen!
